“Macroscope of Science” is a project of Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center at the School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University, directed by Doctor Katy Börner.
The animation is an artistic rendering of the enormous increase of information and the use of tools that help to utilize the information more productively over the last 10,000 years of human history. The work is funded by a grant for the National Science Foundation. The end product is a video that will travel with the international Mapping Science exhibit (http://scimaps.org). [See snapshots]
